John Jakubik

Performance Coach

John earned both his Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Kinesiology from Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan. He first came to Champions Performance in March of 2016 after serving one year as the Wide Receiver’s coach at Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph, Missouri.

John grew up in Plymouth, Michigan where he played a wide variety of sports as a kid. In high school, he played two years of varsity football, two years of varsity basketball, and four years of varsity baseball. During his time at Michigan State, John played four years of Wide Receiver on the football team under Head Coach Mark Dantonio. While there, John was a part of teams that won the Big Ten Championship in 2013, Rose Bowl in 2014, and Cotton Bowl in 2015. Upon graduation, John started the pursuit of his Master’s degree while also accepting a Graduate Assistant/Wide Receiver coaching job at Missouri Western State University. After a successful season, John found Champions Sports Performance and fell in love with the facility and Charlotte area. As John continues to grow as a Sports Performance coach, his main goal and focus is to help this next generation of youth develop both physically AND mentally!
